Firehouse Management System was developed as a volunteer tracking system for Montgomery County Maryland volunteer fire departments. It consists of both a client/server application as well as a web application. The FMS client is primarily used as an administrative staff application and has a comparably

smaller user base. This contrasts with the FMS Web application in that it is used by the majority of the station's personnel to keep track of time, drills, meetings, crews, repair orders, etc. Basically everything with which a typical volunteer would be required to interface. The power of the application is that it allows a typical volunteer to do everything with just a few mouse clicks. Everything is cosolidated and right at the user's fingertips!
